CT reduces prices in corner dairies

27 April 2006

A survey conducted in May last year and April this year found that CT has reduced the price of goods in the corner dairies.  The same basket of goods was surveyed last year and cost an average of $33.52.  The average price of these goods has dropped to $32.39 giving consumers a saving of $1.13.  Discussions with the corner dairies indicated that prices from wholesalers have fallen since CT so their prices have also dropped accordingly.

The survey was conducted in Nuku’alofa and the Hahake region.  Hihifo will be surveyed shortly.
