"Revenue from the community
for the community"
Farewell from Head of Customs
25/07/2013 6:51:31 p.m.

It has been my absolute pleasure to be the Head of Customs for the past two years.

I am immensely proud of the Customs staff in Tongatapu and Vava’u for the excellent job they do to collect revenue and to protect the borders of the kingdom for prohibited items.

My contract is now completed and the position will be handed over to a Tongan to continue in the modernisation steps that we have achieved to date.

I thank all to whom I have had the pleasure of working with or assisting in the facilitation of imports and exports. I know I leave Customs with a sense of achievement for the professionalism that Customs has obtained.

There is now a sense of Customs and industry working together to achieve mutual benefits.

Malo aupito to all.

May God bless Tonga and may god bless its people.

Malo e ngaue.
