Fighting Corruption

The Customs & Trade Division of the Ministry of Revenue and Customs is playing a crucial role in Governments efforts towards implementing policies which create a working environment and public service free of corruption.
On 18th May 2015, Senior officials from the Customs & Trade Division represented the Ministry in a one day awareness Workshop for Senior Government Officials on Anti-Corruption organized in consultation with the joint United Nations Pacific Regional Anti-Corruption (UN-PRAC) Project based out of the UNDP Pacific Centre, Suva.
The workshop was aimed at building on-going dialogue to further understanding on the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) and informs senior government officials of the requirements and good practices of anti-corruption implementation and political benefits to Tonga of preventing corruption.
