The Honourable Minister of Finance, Hon. Tatafu Moeaki was the guest of honor. The blessing of the day was presented by the Arch-Bishop Cardinal Eminem Mafi of the Tonga-Niue Diocese of Roman Catholic Church. Tonga Customs are profoundly relying on Information Technology System by focusing Customs Digital Transformation with 2 new project. One of the vital project known ASYCUDA SYSTEMS was funded by the New Zealand and Australia Government. ASYGUDA System has a multi-purpose strategy but specifically to facilitate the trade with foreign trade countries. ASYGUDA SYSTEMS was one of the core requirement obligated Tonga Customs to expedite implementation of Pacer Plus Trade Agreement in Tonga. The Deputy CEO Mr. Michael Cokanasiga the Head of Commercial Section was briefly presented the evolution of this vital project.
